Cashew Community Club ushers CNY with 1,000 pax feast

The Cashew Chinese New Year Celebrations this year saw a record number of residents from all races gathering together at Senja-Cashew Community Club for a night of laughter and get-together.

Hosted by Grassroots Adviser, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, this dinner saw the traditonal lion and dragon performance and performers from neighboring schools.

Funny man, Jimmy, also took to the stage and engaged the 1,000 strong crowd with games, jokes and more.

Countdown 2019 with Chijmes

It was a magical night of countdown as party-goers gather around Chijmes to usher in the New Year. This year’s count down party was hosted by Emcee Jim Koh and some of the best musicians in Singapore, including local Jazz band Summertimes Hotshots,  was also present to jazz up the night.

Additionally, lots of Chijmes vouchers were also given away to lucky diners, to the delight of many. Local female DJ sensation, DJ Reiki was also dropping amazing hits throughout the night.

The night’s atmosphere culminated when the  live size projection was activated and a countdown clock was screened on the building of Chijmes as the crowd gathers for the countdown!

It was truly a memorable and magical night to behold!

M.Pro Golf Challenge 2018

M Tech signature annual golf event, M.Pro Golf Challenge 2018 ended on a high note  at the New Course at Singapore Island Country Club (SICC).

Complementing the blazing sun and blue skies, the air was abuzz with roaring enthusiasm from golfers to get into action! Nearly 100 partners and vendors along with M.Tech team took part in this year’s tournament, featuring several exciting on-course novelty games such as Hole-in-One, Nearest to Pin and Longest Drive.

With close to 15 esteemed sponsors supporting M.Pro Golf Challenge 2018, the entire day’s programme was decked out in style to give golfers an unforgettable experience! Topping off the experience, guests were treated to relaxing shoulder massage in the evening before a sumptuous dinner with great wine and beer.

The event was also hyped up with host Jim Koh and an entertaining performance by stand-up comedian, Fakkah Fuzz, followed by great prizes given out to lucky winners.

This year marks the 7th edition of M.Pro Golf Challenge and the event would not have been possible without the support of our partners, vendors and sponsors!

M.Tech Chinese New Year Lo Hei 2018

The annual Chinese New Year Lo-Hei was held at Orchard Hotel. This year, many guests came dressed in this best Chinese New Year outfit and the festive mood was evident.

As there is a Chinese say that goes: It’s better to give than to receive, this short luncheon has a total of 3 lucky draw segments. Emcee Jim Koh was also present to hype the crowd and to play games with the guests! It was an afternoon of fun seeing guests bonding with one another.

The organizers also invited an esteemed fortune teller master to predict the fortune for the various zodiac signs for the guests!

Kampong Glam Community Club Grandparents’ Night

Venue: Ban Heng HarbourFront

It was a heartwarming night as many families staying in the precinct of Kampong Glam brought their parents and grandparents to have this annual dinner.

The committee has also carefully curated the performances for the elderly and some of the items are presented in various dialects and languages, much to the delight of the elderly.

Additionally, Ah Boys to Man 4 main lead, Ryan Lian also made a guest appearance as he shares about his wonderful childhood growing up with his grandmother.

CAFHI Sports Dinner and Dance

Venue: Royal Plaza on Scotts

This is a small gathering as the staff of CAFHI has to be on standby 24/7. However, the staff who were able to make it for the dinner and dance forged ahead and made the night memorable!

This year’s theme is Sports Day. Emcee Jim Koh was dressed in an eye catching sumo wrestle costume. Also, the guests took part in many sports related games! It was indeed a night of fun filled laughter!

Tanglin Trust School Gala Dinner

Venue: Marina Bay Sands

This is a 700 strong crowd with a mixture of locals and expat guests. The night started strong with an opening number by two dancers dressed to Madonna and Lady Gaga.

This was followed by a fashion parade by the organizing committee before Emcee Jim Koh took the stage to welcome the guests. This event would not have been so perfect without the guest’s effort to dress up!

Wisescan Singapore Anniversary Dinner

A quarter of a century is an important milestone for any company. This signifies the hard work, prudence and diligence of everyone in the organization.

Thus the organizing committee wanted every guests who attends the annual dinner to feel appreciated in the company.

Hence, besides hosting on stage, Emcee Jim Koh also made sure he went off stage to interact with the guests personal and upclose.

It was a challenge when Emcee Jim Koh was invited back to host the annual dinner for NK Group for the 6th consecutive year. Not only does he has to think of new ideas to excite the crowd; the nature of the guests are also naturally creative.

Thankfully,  this also meant the guests are supportive in nature and it didn’t take long before the guests were singing and dancing as one!

Thank you to Irene for the kind invite! It really felt like a family reunion year after year!

KL Group Chinese New Year Dinner

Venue: Safra Jurong, Joy Garden

KL Group celebrated Chinese New Year this year with a sumptuous 8 course meal at Joy Garden and the employees and partners turn up in full force for the occassion.

Emcee Jim Koh was invited to host the inaugural company dinner and  he connected very well with the Chinese guests with his proficiency in Mandarin.

The guests were first warmed up with a Chinese New Year themed ice-breaker before breaking into groups for Lohei. Non Chinese guests also had fun tossing the food, in the spirit of good luck and prosperity.

Besides high energy games which requires the 350 strong crowd to participate, there were also mesmerizing performers put up by professionals.

And Emcee Jim Koh ended the night with a memorable mass dance!
